Behringer Audio Booster Installation Guide

Step 1: Turn off and unplug the Somadome using the switch on the back of the dome. Remove the lower rear panel by removing the four nuts that are located in the red circles pictured below. We suggest using a pair of needle nose pliers or a socket wrench. It may be possible to remove using only your fingers.

Step 2: Since the control board already has all of its connections, we are just going to swap the wires from the old audio booster to the new. Take the wire and adapter out of “Line One” circled in red and put in “Line One” that is circled in blue.

Note: Please disregard the circle in the lower left corner. You will not be swapping the power source. Please only use the power source that came with the Behringer Amp Kit.

Step 3:Unplug the cable that is circled in red on the upper right hand corner under the “Stereo Inputs” and connect a gold amp jack adapter to the male end that you just pulled out of the “Stereo Inputs port”. Please disregard the red circle in the lower left hand corner over the AC 12V. You will use the 240v power source that came with the new Behringer Amp Kit.

Step 4: Plug the wire that we just added the gold adapter into the “INPUT” slot on the new audio booster. The correct port is circled in green:

Step 5: Plug the power cord that came with the Behringer Kit into the 12V power port and then into the nearest power outlet. Make sure all volume knobs on the audio booster are set to the lowest setting (turned counterclockwise as far as possible). Then press the power button on the front of the audio booster. In the event there is no power button, you will know there is power if the power light is orange/yellow. Then turn the volume knob for “Line 1” clockwise as far as the knob will go to activate the audio booster.

Step 6: Plug the Somadome back into your power source and turn the dome on. Play a session and test to make sure the audio is playing clearly through both ears. Turn the volume up on the dome touch screen and make sure the session audio is still playing clearly and does not sound distorted.

Step 7: Once audio volume and clarity is confirmed. Close the back panel with the audio booster placed in the center of the panel on the inside (see red “x” in photo below). Tighten the four nuts to secure the back panel to the dome.
