Mikroe Screen Audio Issues

Identify the type of screen you have by going through these pictures. If you have Mikroe screen, you may face the following issues:

  • Sound isn’t playing through one or both of the ears of my headphones
      • Step 1: Unplug headphones from the Somadome and plug them into another device and play audio from that device. 
        • If you still hear no sound, your headphones need to be replaced. If your Somadome is still under warranty, please contact us. If your Somadome is no longer under warranty, we recommend you order Sennheiser HD280 Pro headphones. A few suggested retailers are B&H Photo , Sweetwater Music , and Amazon.  
        • If you now hear the audio playing through both ears, then move on to step two. 
      • Step 2: Remove the rear lower panel of your Somadome to access your audio booster. Remove the cable from the “Output” port and plug the headphones directly into the “Output” port. Run a session. 
        • If you now hear audio playing clearly through both ears, your headphone extension cable needs to be replaced. It is a 6ft 3.5m male to female audio cable. Linked here is one option to purchase.
        • If you still do not hear any sound, please ensure your audio booster is plugged in, powered on, and that the volume knobs on the audio booster are turned up fully.
        • If you still do not hear any sound, please contact us.
