Where is the dome shipped from? What should I expect once the dome is shipped and delivered? The Somadome is shipped from our warehouse in the Bay Area, California, the nearest port is Port of Oakland, CA USA (USOAK). For orders of more than 10 domes, we may be able to arrange to ship FOB from our manufacturing facility to you directly to receive volume discounts. The dome is shipped fully assembled, and requires help to uncrate and install. It will not, however, fit through a standard single doorway without requiring disassembly. We have both White Glove and Self-Installation .

How much is shipping? Please use this guide to estimate your shipping cost. Please be aware International shipments will incur duties, taxes, customs fees that are the responsibility of the customer. These rates are subject to change at time of booking/sale.

What if something happens during shipping? Please notify us immediately and take photos /videos of any damage. All shipments include insurance and with proper documentation we can file a claim

What if my shipment takes longer than expected? There are many factors in shipping; timing, volume, weather, connections, etc.. On rare occasions there can be circumstances out of our control and shipments can be delayed. We will work with you to make sure your shipment arrives safely in a timely manner.

Can we select the delivery date and time once it has been shipped? 

Upon shipping your dome, we will provide you with an estimated delivery date and strive to keep you informed with timely updates. Additionally, you will receive a notification on the day of delivery. While we make every effort to be as accurate as possible, various uncontrollable factors such as customs, flight delays (in the case of international shipping), climate conditions, volume, and connections may impede our ability to provide an exact delivery time. How fast can I get one? On average, the fastest is 2-3 days depending on where you are located. For overseas shipments the fastest is 5 – 7 business days. There are many variables that can affect your shipment. We do our best to ship our domes in the fastest most economical way.

How are duties / taxes determined? Duties & taxes are determined by and vary widely by country. It is highly suggested you work with a customs broker for the calculation of duties and taxes owed and to ensure the smooth importation of your Somadome into your country. We will be happy to connect you with a customs broker to work with for your region. 

Is it classified as a medical device? No, it is classified as furniture; there are no FDA regulations or medical contraindications for using the Somadome, or medical waivers required.
